  Robot monk, 2020.

This work is a prototype of a robot created taking advantage of the possibilities offered by micro:bit to produce sounds based on the amount of light perceived by its sensors, and when it receives a certain amount of light, the servo moves the arm of the robot so that The mallet in his arm moves four times until it plays a chime and produces sounds reminiscent of those used by Tibetan monks for meditation.

In this way, you play with light and sound, with the interaction with whoever provides light, and that light will cause the robot to move its arm in a sequence of four repetitions and produce sound in the chime, making it That sound invites you to meditate and enter a meditative state, an altered state of consciousness that increases the person's inner light by increasing their self-awareness, so that the light produces sound and that increases the inner light.

In addition, the micro:bit screen will be transmitting the following message to the interactors who are outside: “Gimme light to sound the chime”, leaving the decision of whether to increase the light that the robot receives in the hands of those people. and consequently they trigger the process that produces the sound or they do not.

The robot has the shape of a monk, the monk robot, which reminds us of the Tibetan monks who produce sound with a percussion instrument to carry out their meditative practices, and for whom light and sound are two central elements of your spiritual practice.
